Long Wind Farm Premium Aged Organic Compost

Long Wind Farm offers premium, aged organic compost for sale April through November while supplies last.  Our compost may be picked up at the farm with your own truck or delivery can be arranged within our delivery area. 

The cost of this premium compost is $50.00/cu. yd. (plus 6% VT sales tax if picked up at the farm or delivered within VT).

So you might be asking, "How much compost do I need?" First lets look at a cubic yard, because that's what you are thinking of buying, right? 1 cubic yard = 27 cubic feet So, for example, if you want to use a cubic yard of our compost to cover an area with a depth of 12", that area would be 27 square feet in area.  If you want only 6" in depth, then that area doubles to 54 square feet, and so on.  Use the guide below to help you decide how much of our compost you might need.  One cubic yard will cover... 27 sq. ft. @ 12" deep   ~   54 sq. ft. @ 6" deep   ~   81 sq. ft. @ 4" deep 108 sq. ft. @ 3" deep   ~   162 sq. ft. @ 2" deep   ~   324 sq. ft @ 1" deep

Compost Pick-up

When available, compost may be picked up at the farm Monday through Friday by appointment only and a $20.00 loading fee applies.  To schedule a weekday pick-up call us at 802-785-4642, 8am-2pm  Mon-Fri.

CLOSED SAT & SUN

There is a half cubic yard minimum for all compost pick-ups and the 6% VT Sales Tax applies.

We will only load vehicles with an open bed and reserve the right to refuse loading any vehicle we do not deem appropriate for such use.

Compost Delivery

We offer a delivery service to customers living within our delivery area who would like to purchase our premium compost.

A minimum order of 1 cu. yard and a delivery fee apply.

Delivery service will be available starting April 17th.
