Long Wind Farm's composting and bait worms are a mix of two of the most active types: Eisenia fetida (aka Redworms or Red Wigglers) and Pheretima Hawayana (aka Amynthas Gracilus, Alabama/Georgia Jumpers among other names).  Both are among natures best recyclers.  The combination we sell is like the A-Team of vermicomposting and are able to turn organic materials into rich vermicompost at an astounding rate.  More and more municipalities are turning to these little dynamos to deal with the mountains of such waste that we humans produce on a daily basis.  You too can put them to work for you by letting them transform most of your kitchen and yard waste into a valuable growing medium or amendment for your gardens, lawn, and houseplants.
