Here you can learn about our farm and the delicious premium quality, certified organic tomatoes that we grow in our greenhouses in East Thetford, Vermont.
Long Wind Farm started as a small organic field operation, run by David Chapman with little more than a yoke of oxen, a small farm stand, and a big vision. That vision was to bring to the marketplace a tomato that was grown organically and would have that garden-grown flavor we all remember. One farmer's obsession with quality is what brought Long Wind Farm tomatoes to your grocery store shelf.
When you buy Long Wind Farm tomatoes you are buying produce grown in Vermont, a state that was organic even before organic was cool. When you buy our tomatoes you are assured that what you are eating is not only delicious, but is also free from chemical fertilizers and harmful pesticides. What you are eating is the closest thing to a garden-grown tomato that you will ever find in the produce department of your favorite store. Why not pick some up today and you will see why Long Wind Farm organic tomatoes are real tomatoes? They may be purchased in supermarkets, food co-ops and health food stores, or enjoyed on the menu of fine restaurants throughout the Northeastern United States.
